Jesus the Christ speaking: "11 I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it." (Matthew 11:11-12)

Kim Black a.k.a. Kingdom Inspired Ministry a.k.a. K.I.M.

K.I.M. uses music given by God as a change agent for Jesus the Christ. We are on the cutting edge. We are after the spirit in everyone where change begins, not the flesh. Our music is like no other, and we like it like that. Jesus is like no other.

We are worshipers of the true God Adonai, not entertainers. We are His music ministers, not just musicians. We desire that our music exalts Adonai, teaches and equips the saints to obey and to do His will, and is a witness of His Son Jesus the Christ in the world.

In her music, you can hear the Father’s cry to the lost to be reconciled to Him through Jesus the Christ.

In 2006, something awesome and unexpected happened. God ordained that the United States and Nigeria meet to begin writing music for His Kingdom. While I was in the US singing Broadway musicals, jazz, R&B, funk and later raised by Him to be a worship leader, Joshua Patini, Solomon Ekwukoma, and Steve Ebhodaghe (a.k.a. "The Melodies Christian Band") were in Nigeria worshiping the Lord, listening to Western music, and being prepared musically for His glory.

Then, in 2007, the Holy Spirit revealed to a good friend of mine, the new name for this ministry: Kingdom Inspired Ministry K.I.M.

Our blend is unique. Trying to sound like someone else does not work for us, because it would not be who Christ made us to be in Him. And, believe me, I've tried it. It doesn't work nor does it glorify God. And, that's what we want to do: glorify God!

Each of our songs is purposefully written and based on the life-giving Word of God through inspiration of the Holy Spirit within us. Each is a journey. Some tell a story like The Blood on Resurrection Life.

People ask what category of music is this. Some say that it's fusion. Some say Christian. Others say it's not gospel, because it does not have the traditional gospel flavor. We say it's both and more. It's Christian, because it's from Christ. It's gospel, because it's about the gospel. It's more, because it comes from the leading of the Holy Spirit who is transcendent, limitless.

In November 2007, I sang at the 21st Bi-Annual International Gospel Industry Retreat, the "brainchild" of renowned recording artist Vickie Winans and Dr. Bobby Jones. The event was interesting and spectacular. Many greats such as Kim Burrell, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Byron Cage, J. Moss, and more graced the stage. Even though I've had years of experience in front of people, I was overwhelmed by it all and nervous. And, it showed in my performance. But, God used the event to catapult our ministry to another level. How did He do that? Instead of singing a song by a well-known artist, I performed one of our originals. It was oh so sweet!

Like The Temptations sang "Get ready 'cause here I come!"

K.I.M.'s current project Pray was produced by Donnie McLaurin, with music by Donnie, Kim, Quentin Lowe, Quincy Lowe, and Reginald Reid. The Message Single, also produced by Donnie, features Rev. Dr. LeRoy Thompson. The Message DVD was produced by Michael Black. Tracks are available at Indieheaven and at the major music download sites. Her tracks are being featured on Internet radio sites.

In January 2008, K.I.M. was signed by CCM Records.

In May 2008, K.I.M. released Resurrection Life under the CCM Record label. This project was produced by Steve Keyz, and features music by The Melodies Band, background vocals by worship artists Lisa Glover and Angela Bryant-Brown, and rap worship artist Kwame Ofori a.k.a.Verbal Chemistry.

Enjoy and be blessed by the music God has given us.
